||From Within Dance Academy presents Karishma and Aishwarya Mandyam. The girls have been
learning and performing Bharatanatyam dance which is an
ancient classical dance art form of South India. The dance is
set to Carnatic music, the traditional music of South India.
Most Bharatanatyam items depict bhakti or devotion as the main
theme. The five major styles of Indian classical dance signify
the five elements of nature. Bharatanatyam is considered to be
a fire-dance - the mystic manifestation of the metaphysical
element of fire in the human body. The movements of a
Bharatanatyam dancer resemble the movements of a dancing
Playing at the
Temple of Justice for the VIP Reception (celebrating the
Temples 100th birthday) is a local youth group called The
Halbert Harmonies, a SOGO Quintet. This is a top level
ensemble formed by assignment of the Student Orchestras of
Greater Olympia's Conservatory Orchestra. These kids are all
from the south sound area. Belinda So, is from Olympia High
School, Robin Hill is from Capital High School, Mallory
Halbert is from North Thurston High School, Maura Phelps and
Nolan Welch are from Timberline High School. They are coached
by Marj Jo Rydholm, nationally certified chamber music coach
and SOGO MOJO (Musicians Out Jammin' Olympia).

Canoe Families will be singing and drumming one song each
of their individual tribes. They are the Nisqually, Squaxin
and Chehalis tribal families. This is a great honor to be part
